Company background
About DJRSI
DJRSI Ltd was founded in early 2024 as a wireless network infrastructure consultancy, drawing on four decades of experience across both the operator and vendor sides of the global telecoms industry. The company is led by Ian Sutton, whose career began in the mid-1980s and spans the full arc of modern wireless — from the analogue era through the buildout of 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G networks, and the commercial and technical cycles that shaped the industry along the way. Over four decades Ian worked globally for a number of telecoms operators and vendors, across both technical and commercial functions.
The company's direction was set by a conviction that formed in late 2022. When large language models became publicly accessible, the recognition was immediate: this was not an incremental technology shift. It was structural — the same kind of structural change that the internet represented in the mid-1990s, when a generation of engineers and operators watched a new economic layer being built in real time and had to decide whether to move or wait. Ian was active in telecoms during that period and carries that frame of reference directly.
The year that followed was spent attempting to build an AI capability inside a large employer — to automate the administrative burden of the business and free skilled people to focus on creative, revenue-generating work. The organisation wasn't ready. In the assessment of most large organisations at the time, it was too early and too disruptive. Ian founded DJRSI to pursue that conviction independently.
The confirmation came in mid-2025, when autonomous AI agents became available for self-hosting on standard hardware. That moment — technology moving from demonstration to infrastructure — marked the same inflection point the internet crossed in the late 1990s. Alongside broader macroeconomic forces, it signals a structural transition in how value is created: away from large numbers of people working inside a small number of large organisations, and toward an economy of specialist, AI-powered operations with the domain expertise, agility and speed that legacy organisations structurally cannot replicate.
DJRSI is built on that thesis.
Before focusing on the telecoms vertical, DJRSI built a range of AI-powered tools for friends, family and small businesses — property search automation, financial market monitoring, website auditing — validating in practice the economy of creators thesis: that one person with the right tools and domain knowledge can build and operate software that previously required a team.
The company's first commercial AI product is the RFx Intelligence Platform — a tool designed to reduce the administrative burden of the vendor RFQ process, improve bid quality, and surface the intelligence that separates competitive tenders from wasted effort. It is built for the wireless network infrastructure industry specifically, by someone who has operated inside it from both sides.
DJRSI is a UK registered business, working with operators and vendors internationally.
